Recognizing the People and Culture Behind ET Group’s 2026 Great Place to Work Awards
2026 has already been a significant year in ET Group’s journey. We have entered a new chapter as part of Ricoh Canada, continued growing our national team and brought more people from across the organization into the conversations, projects and industry experiences shaping the future of our company.
Through all that change, one thing has remained central: the culture created by our people. This year, ET Group was recognized as the #30 Best Workplace in Canada in the 100–999 employee category and received the Great Place to Work® Fairness Award.
ET Group was also recognized as one of Canada’s:
- Best Workplaces™ in Technology
- Best Workplaces™ for Inclusion
- Best Workplaces™ with Most Trusted Executive Teams
- Best Workplaces™ for Mental Wellness
While each award reflects a different part of the employee experience, together they tell a larger story about ET Group—who we are, how we have grown and the kind of workplace we continue working to create.
Celebrating at the 2026 Great Place to Work Gala
At the 2026 Great Place to Work Gala, ET Group team members Selma Sqalli, Mark Bystrek, Mike Oppedisano and Ahmed Ameen joined organizations from across the country to celebrate Canada’s leading workplaces.
That evening, ET Group was officially recognized as the #30 Best Workplace in Canada in the 100–999 employee category.
The team also brought home the Fairness Award, one of the special recognitions presented at the gala. ET Group achieved a 94% fairness score, placing our results above the benchmark for leading Canadian workplaces in our category.
Fairness is not something that can be demonstrated through one policy, initiative or workplace program. It is reflected in how people experience the organization every day—whether they feel heard, whether decisions are made impartially, whether opportunities are accessible and whether people are treated with consistency and respect.
That is what makes this recognition particularly meaningful.
It is rooted in the confidential feedback of ET Group employees and reflects their real experiences within the organization.
One of Canada’s Best Workplaces in Technology
Technology has always been at the centre of ET Group’s story.
What began nearly 50 years ago with traditional audiovisual systems has evolved into the design and delivery of connected workplace technology, collaboration environments and mission-critical solutions for organizations across Canada.
Today, our work includes everything from meeting rooms and hybrid collaboration spaces to command centres, courtrooms, large-scale workplace deployments, managed services and national technology programs.
But being recognized as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces in Technology is not only about the solutions we deliver.
It also reflects the people behind that work.
Our industry requires constant learning. Technology platforms evolve, client needs change and expectations for workplace experiences continue to grow. ET Group employees regularly build new skills, adapt to emerging technologies and collaborate across sales, design, engineering, project management, integration, support, operations and marketing to solve increasingly complex challenges.
The recognition celebrates a workplace where technical expertise is valued, but where curiosity, collaboration and different ways of thinking are just as important.
As ET Group continues its journey with Ricoh Canada, that combination of technology expertise and people-centred thinking will remain a major part of how we contribute to the future of work.
One of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Inclusion
Inclusion at ET Group is not viewed as a single event or annual campaign. It is an ongoing effort to create more opportunities for employees to participate, share their experiences and contribute their perspectives across the organization.
Our employee-led IDEA Committee—focused on inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility—continues to help create space for education, conversation and connection. This year and last year, the committee hosted Inclusion Days that brought employees together through activities, shared meals and discussions exploring the different experiences represented across our team.
This year’s Inclusion Day included a panel discussion on The Evolution of Women in Technology, featuring Alicia Sawyer, Julie Legault and Debbie Morris. The conversation created an opportunity to hear directly from women across the organization about their careers, the changes they have witnessed in the technology sector and the work still ahead.
Our commitment to broader participation was also reflected at InfoComm 2026.
This year, ET Group brought its largest team yet to the industry’s leading audiovisual technology event—and half of the employees attending were women. That representation matters in an industry where women have historically been underrepresented, particularly in technical and leadership positions. We are proud to support people across different roles, career paths and areas of expertise and to recognize that unique backgrounds and perspectives make our teams, our decisions and our customer solutions stronger.
There is always more work to do, but being named one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Inclusion reflects meaningful progress in ET Group’s journey.
One of Canada’s Best Workplaces with Most Trusted Executive Teams
Trust has played a significant role in ET Group’s evolution.
Over the years, the organization has explored new approaches to decision-making, ownership and employee participation. Team members have been encouraged to contribute ideas, raise concerns and take responsibility for improving how we work.
That trust has been especially important during periods of growth and change.
In February 2026, ET Group entered a major new chapter by becoming part of Ricoh Canada. A transition of this scale naturally creates questions about what will change, what will remain and what the future will look like.
Throughout the process, open communication and honest conversations have been essential.
Being recognized as one of Canada’s Best Workplaces with Most Trusted Executive Teams reflects employees’ confidence in the people guiding the organization—particularly their credibility, communication and ability to lead through change.
For ET Group, trusted leadership does not mean having every answer immediately.
It means being transparent about what is known, acknowledging uncertainty, listening to employee perspectives and continuing to make decisions with the long-term interests of the team, our customers and the organization in mind.
As we continue integrating with Ricoh Canada, maintaining that trust will remain one of the most important measures of our progress.
One of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness
Rounding out this year’s recognition, ET Group was also named one of Canada’s Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness. This award reflects whether employees feel supported not only in the work they deliver, but as people.
Mental wellness can be influenced by many parts of the employee experience: manageable expectations, supportive colleagues, flexibility, psychological safety and the ability to speak honestly when help is needed.
No workplace gets every moment right, and supporting employee well-being requires continuous attention.
This recognition provides reassurance that the foundations are there—and reinforces the importance of continuing to build a workplace where people feel supported during demanding projects, personal challenges and periods of organizational change.
The People Behind the Awards
Great Place to Work recognition is based on confidential employee feedback gathered through the Trust Index™ survey, so these awards reflect how employees genuinely experience their workplace.
That experience is shaped not only by policies and programs, but also by the everyday moments that define our culture: a colleague taking the time to help solve a problem, a team member offering a fresh perspective, a manager who listens, or someone creating an opportunity for others to participate and succeed.
The gala gave us a chance to celebrate these experiences publicly, but the culture behind this recognition is built every day by ET Group employees across Canada.
