Multi-Platform Spaces that Enhance Microsoft Teams Meetings
With a range of communication and collaboration needs across internal team members, customers, vendors and other business partners, ERCO recognized the importance of having meeting rooms that can support a variety of conversations and platforms—most importantly Microsoft Teams. In order to achieve this goal, they required flexible spaces with technology tools that allowed for scalability and consistency, while integrating with their existing Microsoft calendar system. ET Group transformed their meeting experience with easily deployed high-end video conferencing systems that easily connect to cloud-based meetings, upgrading their old disjointed technology system to one that enhances their multi-platform experience.
What we did for ERCO

Cisco Technology for Flexibility
We designed ERCO's most important spaces with flexibility in mind, in order to meet their goal of communicating with a variety of different internal and external parties regardless of the platform. By implementing Cisco Room Systems, including Cisco endpoints and peripherals such as all-in-one meeting bars, high resolution cameras and intuitive tabletop panels, ERCO can connect to any platform and be guaranteed a seamless and high quality experience.

Interoperability for Microsoft Teams Enablement
ERCO expressed an emphasis on their requirement to be able to seamlessly connect and collaborate in Microsoft Teams meetings, but faced challenges connecting to other platforms such as Zoom as well. To ensure their hybrid meeting experience is always positive, regardless of where it's hosted, we provided licensing for Pexip Cloud Video Interoperability (CVI) to bridge the gap between Cisco Room Systems and the proprietary connectivity protocols of various video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Webex). This solution allows ERCO's users to experience a consistent collaboration experience, while maintaining some of the platform specific features such as screen sharing, speaker spotlight, reactions and more.

Gateways for Simplified Calendar Configuration
With an existing Microsoft Calendar system already in place, we integrated the Cisco Room Systems into the Microsoft Calendar via calendar integration, powered by Pexip One-Touch-Join (OTJ). This integration improves UX by providing consistent join experiences, while keeping the ease of use barometer high! Pexip OTJ detects and automatically syncs all meeting invites and room bookings, regardless of the platform, to their Microsoft Calendar, and when the time comes, users only need to enter the designated meeting room and push one button to start the call.
